General Guidelines The PBEFI Scholarship Program is open to all resident members of good standing of the Phi Beta Epsilon Fraternity from Central Philippine University, University of Iloilo, Western Institute of Technology and University of San Agustin.
Qualifications for the Scholarship Program are based on the guidelines set forth by the PBEFI Scholarship Committee and the PBEFI-Visayas scholarship Committee. . The scholarship program is only applicable to those who will be enrolled in engineering courses of the above mentioned school chapters.
The scholarship privileges are non-transferable.
A scholar will lose his scholarship privileges if he decides to a different course other than engineering.
A scholar must abide by and maintain all requirements of the scholarship program avail of the scholarship privileges until he graduate.
A minimum average grade of 85% (or an equivalent grade adapted by each of the receipient school) must be maintained to qualify for the scholarship. Any scholar who receives a failing grade, even if the average grade of 85% is still attained, will automatically lose his scholarship privileges.
Any scholar who is found guilty of committing a crime will automatically be dropped off from the program. _________________________________________________________________________________________
Application Requirements All applications are due two (2) months before the enrollment in each semester. The application must include all of the following: 1. Completed application form 2. Essay: “What is your planned course of study, your career aspirations and your personal goals” (300-500 words) 3. Average grade: 85%- verified by copy of student transcript 4. Letter of recommendation from college of engineering dean, teacher, counselor or community leader.
Awarding of Scholarship One student each will be chosen from 2nd to 5th year. The selection will be based on personal interview and written examination, which will be conducted by the PBEFI-Visayas Scholarship Committee. Interview will be based on academic merits, achievements and potential, career goals, character, leadership, community involvement and social awareness. |
